Date: Sept. 24, 2006: Ceremony and Reception: Princeville Hotel, Kauai, Hawaii Ritche and Mirra from Ruby Hill Subdivision in Pleasanton, California flew in Princeville Hotel, Kauai, Hawaii to celebrate their wedding in an exclusive, private, amazing and natural setting. The beautiful sunset, the pristine beach, the infinite ocean and friends and family members made their special day absolutely unforgettable. Few friends and family joined them for the celebration of a fun, romantic, loving and unique event along the beautiful place of Princeville hotel with a nice mountain serving as a background. After the ceremony, we headed to the lobby and to the beach to have some wedding party and Bride & Groom photos., I always enjoy this part so much!!! Part of the hightlights was the audiovisual presentation of the couple made by their videographer friend. After that, I made a slide show of all the photos from the time when they arrived Kauai until the wedding ceremony. Many of the guests were so amazed with the photos and they were so happy to see themselves from their casual to sporty to formal attire. I was very very happy to see them all shouting for joy.....fun and love were competing to score the highest points. Speaking of which, the party was really fun! EVERYONE was dancing. Wedding party was such a great time!..... it was such an amazing day......wonderful memories i will cherish forever....

Golf and Rehearsal Dinner Experience, Kauai, Hawaii

At around 9:00 am
Something different for this wedding. The bride and her friends went to a parlor near the Lihue Airport for their polish while the groom and his friends played an 18 hole golf at Princeville Golf Course. I have been going to different golf courses in United States and this was one of the difficult courses I've ever witnessed. They had fun playing golf. We ended around 1;30pm.

At around 4:30pm
Rehearsal Dinners are fun to photograph. Rehearsal Dinner is commonly celebrated by foreigners. This is an evening affair prior to the wedding celebration where families and friends of both parties are joining together to celebrate with the couple. Some of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of the wedding occur at the rehearsal dinner. Since it's such an intimate affair, including all of the people who are closest to the bride and groom, the photographs are filled with emotion. Plus, Rehearsal Dinners are great opportunities for me to meet all of the "key players" of the wedding and with this I already have the feeling on how many of the family and friends most likely to appear on the wedding day.
As a change from photos of people, I thought you might like to look at some nice sunsets... Those of our readers that have visited Kauai will know that we do get some spectacular skies... Those that havent't been here yet. come on down

Getting the Marriage License, Kauai, Hawaii

Hawaii has a different way of processing marriage contract. Securing for a marriage license is not that hard as it is just like getting a resident certificate from a notary public. I was curious on what is next.... Then Ritche, Mirra and I went to Pono Market where the said license was taken.

Off to Hawaii

Today is my flight going to Hawaii via Continental Airlines flight 934, 10:55pm flying to Guam and from Guam flying to Honolulu. Then from Honolulu, i am going to fly to Lihue, Kauai which is a 20 minute flight on GO airlines.

Sonny + Trisha E-Session

Date: Sept. 21, 2006 Venue: Eco Park, QC Had a great time shooting Sonny and Trisha's E-Session. They are getting married on June '07 in St Mary's Church, San Francisco,CA. I met them during our San Francisco "Kasalan" Bridal Fair last August 12-14, 2006. They came here to Philippines to visit family and friends and hired me to do this E-Session at Eco Park.

Francis & Johanna's Wedding

The day began with photographing RG's getting ready at the Makati Shangri-la hotel. Joel and RG said their vows in Iglesia ni Cristo , Sucat Paranaque City. The reception took place at the Coconut Palace with the beautiful background of the sunset and the Manila Bay. The Iglesia ni Cristo strictly implemented the no photographs inside the church only the video guys were allowed to document the ceremony, so we just waited outside. Even the facade they did not allow us to photograph it. This time it was a lovely day, sunny but extremely windy. Everyone was so chilled on the day.

Photo Congress Provincial Tour

Batangas City The officers and board members of WPPP visited the Batangas Camera Club together with the Lipa Photographers Association. We showed some demonstraions and did a mini presentaion of what will happen during the 3rd WPPP Photot Congress. After the short presentation a Bodyscape photo shoot was conducted.

September 5, 2006 After two months of stay in United States, I am now faced with another bulk of work at Smart Shot Studio plus a major upcoming activity of the Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines which is the 3rd Annual Photo Congress. Said Congress is being headed by Mr. Bern Mejias with the cooperation of the board members of the association. I will be flying to Manila from Las Vegas via Philippine Airlines.....

These two have an incredible energy about them- they are so obviously in love and the day was full of joy. They did a simple catholic ceremony and it was so intimate , a gathering of family and very close friends. After the Ceremony the reception immediately followed at the groom's residence in Davis, Sacramento, CA.

I was lucky enough to have three sessions with them, an E-Session at Fremont park in San Francisco, CA, a Jewish wedding in Hilton, Sacramento, CA and a catholic wedding at St. James Parish in Sacramento , CA also. Congratulations and best wishes. I really enjoyed witnessing two people in love and it was a great honor for me to be part of your big celebrations.

The day started off fairly early. This was a great wedding that I've been looking forward to for a while. Mark and Alma were married at Hilton Hotel on September 3, 2006. A very rare opportunity for me to witness a Jewish Wedding. The two were married by a rabbi, beneath a huppah wedding canopy. It was an amazing day of love, life, and grace. Since I dont't have anything to do today, I decided to photograph the rehearsal dinner hosted by Mark & Alma here in Hilton Hotel. The actual wedding will take place tomorrow at the same hotel. This is really exciting for me since it is my first time to document a Jewish wedding.

Fred + Almera E-Session, 17 Mile Drive Monterey, CA

Fred and Almera were one of the guests during the San Francisco Bridal Fair last August 12-14, 2006. I did not notice them at the time when they visited our booth. After the said fair, they emailed me and set an appointment for an engagement pictorial.
We started the pictorial at Monterey Aquarium for couple of hours then we took our lunch at Fisherman's Warf. Around 4pm we headed towards the 17 mile drive where beautiful backgrounds and beach were located. The couple was so nice and they treated me well, though this was our first meeting. After our photo shoot they drove me home and they signed-up for their upcoming wedding on April 21, 2007 in Manila. I still have some samples of our albums and they signed-up for our fiberglass album. Their ceremony will be at Caloocan where they live and dinner will be at Gazebo Royale.
