We started our pictorial at Kirstie's house in Valencia, Los Angeles, CA. It was a perfect weather for a pictorial. This client was referred by Carol Dela Paz, an organizer of the 1st Los Angeles=Philippine Wedding Expo of which i was one of the exhibitors last April, 2007.

Kirstie is a team captain and varsity player in swimming.

I love the clouds of the photos below and i thought of illustrating it in two formats: colored and black and white


Kirstie will be celebrating her 17th birthday this coming Saturday, September 22, 2007. We went to Ranch High School with her friends and we included them in our pictorial at the football field.... It was really fun to work with the group.

Another exciting engagement session with Raymond and Darlene who are both in the medical fields. We started our pictorial at Embarcadero and San Francisco Areas. Early afternoon, we went to Winery Country in Sonoma and Napa Valley and we visited different wineries for photo opportunity. Napa Valley is a hallmark of quality wines for over a century. I had the opportunity to taste the wine at Peju Vineyard where you experience their world-class red wines like Merlot and Cavernet Sauvignon.

Celebrating a wedding in one of the wineries will cost you $10,000 just for the use of the site excluding the food and number of guests should not exceed 150.

Ben and Jade got married at the Wente Vineyard, Livemore, to a private small ceremony. Wow, what a party, this was my first wedding rececption and ceremony in this place and what a wonderful and gorgeous location !

Taking photos from different nationalities is not an easy job as i have to do a lot of research to be able to completely capture the most memorable part of a couple's life. I remember last year when i did a Jewish wedding, it was really a challenge for me and in fact an achievement especially when the couple congratulated me for capturing the most important part of the ceremony which is the "breaking of the glass".

Another delightful experience for me to document a Korean Tea Ceremony... and just would like to share a short video which i got thru net before the event...

I am proud to say that I placed among the top ranks in various WPPP competitions throughout the year including first place in Photojournalism, Bride and Groom, and Wedding Details Categories and 2nd place in Prenuptial and Environmental Categories

“Winning the award is that much sweeter… this is a year-round effort. I pinch myself every day when I wake up because I am so happy to be self-employed, doing something that I love, and getting recognized to be creative.

2nd Place WPPP Photo Contest

Subject: WPPP's Last Quarter Photo Contest

Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines conducts Quarterly Contests among members consisting of Two Categories per competition. Winning entries have corresponding points and a Member holding the most Standard Contest Points within the Standard Categories at the end of each year will be proclaimed as the "Photographer of the Year".

For the last quarter of this year, the categories that we competed for were Getting Ready and Environmental. I did not personally witness the contest as i was here in United States but i prepared my entries before i left the country and requested my staff to bring it to Cafe Lupe where we conduct our meetings and other WPPP activities

Luckily, my entries below placed 2nd, 4th and 7th respectively.
